Musculoskeletal Issues

Most of us know that acupuncture is best known for its facility in treating pain.  There are many kinds of pain of course, and most of the time an issue can at least be improved and managed if not fixed entirely.  I am comfortable treating any kind of pain, acute or chronic, and am able to make an appropriate referral if I feel your condition is more serious and might warrant further medical investigation.

That being said, a large percentage of what I have treated over the years are acute cricky backs, necks, and shoulders,  low back stiffness, spasms, and discomfort, hip and leg sciatica, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel symdrome, plantar fasciitis, etc.  Acupuncture really is a great therapy for these issues and I generously use cupping and gua sha in addition.  Herbal remedies are also pertinent here, and serve not just to cover up pain but to help with systemic issues and/or circulation in the affected area, thus addressing the cause of one’s pain and not simply masking a symptom.
